The research range of this study was to construct senior vocational school 15 major's professional competencies index in Taiwan; moreover, this study aimed at constructing each major's professional competence index for vocational education. There was several research methods used in this study: expert interview and functional analysis. And then it adopted the ”handle manual about analysis on the professional competencies” and ”the index's development and representation criteria of major's professional competence” authorized by the research group as study instrument. By the research for one year, it developed: 1. table of each major's professional competence; 2. change each major's competence index for vocational education into year 98 course representation criteria; 3. develop the year 98 course suggestion of each major in vocational education according to the course representation criteria of each major. Finally, this study will make suggestions for three sides including the year 98 course group conducted by the Department of Education, the year 98 curriculum development committee organized by vocational high schools, and the study in future.
