Satsuma contraria is narrowly distributed in southern Taiwan. Newly collected materials of the species from Kenting Forest Recreation Area were dissected and compared in the present study. The genitalia of the species is characterized by having a vermiform flagellum, a short penial caecum, a degenerated verge and a swollen pedunculus of the bursa copulatrix at middle part. The type specimens deposited in the Academy of Natural Sciences of Philadelphia of this species were also examined for correct identification.
