本試驗利用甲基丙烯酸環氧丙酯與2,4-二羥基二苯甲酮反應合成接枝型光吸收劑BPMA,由紫外光圖譜分析,得知它仍保留2,4-二羥基二萃甲酮能大量吸收紫外光之特性,又為了延長光吸收劑的壽命,本試驗乃進一步將BPMA高分子化以減少光吸收劑被淋洗至塗膜外。此外,亦利用2,5-二異丁基對苯二酚與溴丙烯反應,製得阻酚型抗氧化物,進而將該抗氧化物聚合成高分子型抗氧化劑。將高、低分子型光吸收劑與抗氧化物調配成不同光安定劑配方,添加於芳香族PU透明塗料後,再塗裝於杉木表面,經人工加速耐光及耐候試驗後,發現高、低分子型光吸收劑均可減緩透明塗裝杉木之變色,但抗氧化劑之效果極為有限。
2-Hydroxy-4-(3-methacryloxy-2-hydroxypropoxy)-benzophenone (BPMA) ultraviolet light absorber was synthesized by the reaction of glycidyl methacrylate and 2,4-dihydroxybenzophenone. The UV absorption of BPMA was strong and similar to that of 2,4-dihydroxy.benzophenone. In order to elongate the service life of BPMA, BPMA was polymerized by AIBN. In addition, a hindered phenolic antioxidant (HP) was synthesized by the reaction of 2,5-di-"tert".-butyl hydroquinone and allyl bromide, and followed by polymerizing using AIBN as an initiator. Stabilizers formulated by monomeric and polymeric light absorbers and antioxidants were added into aromatic polyurethane (PU) coatings. PU coatings containing monomeric and polymeric light absorbers were helpful in reducing the discoloration of China fir ("Cunninghamia lanceolata" var. "lanceolata") after artificially accelerated Iightfastness or weathering test, but the stabilizing effects of the hindered phenolic antioxidant were insignificant.
