粒片板以實木封邊之接合強度

摘要


本研究之目的在探討粒片板以實木封邊採用舌槽接方式接合時,不同榫厚比(1:2及1:3)舌榫長度(4、6、8及10 mm)、嵌合度(0、-0.3、-0.5及-0.7 mm)、及膠合劑種類(UF、RPF、PVAc、API架橋型乳膠及熱熔膠)等對於粒片板以實木封邊接合的強度性質之影響,結果歸納如下:1﹒以粒片板作為舌榫,紅櫟木作槽榫之方式封邊者,其接合強度比粒片板作為槽榫,實木作為舌榫者大。2﹒榫厚比1:3或1:2對粒片板實木封邊之接合強度沒有明顯差異,而舌榫長度則以8 mm最經濟。3﹒槽榫的寬度和舌榫的厚度之嵌合度在-0.3 mm時,佈膠在粒片板舌榫上比佈膠在實木槽榫上者有較大的接合強度。4﹒本實驗所用之膠合劑,以熱熔膠最適合做為粒片板實木封邊之膠合劑,且採對接與舌槽接用熱熔膠膠合時,兩者之彎曲力矩差異不顯著。5﹒以熱熔膠做為實木封邊的膠合劑且採用對接時,實木端面與粒片板側面對接的拉伸強度,比實木側面與粒片板側面對接者大,且呈顯著差異關係,但彎曲力矩則差異不顯著。

Some variables, namely, tongue materials, tongue thickness ratio (tongue thickness/board thickness=1:2 or 1:3), tongue length (4, 6, 8 or 10 mm), tongue and groove fitness (subtract groove width from tongue thickness; 0, -0.3, -0.5 or -0.7 mm) and types of glue (UF, RPF, PVAc, API-aqueous vinyl polymer solution-isocyanate adhesive or HMA-hot melt adhesive) and its spreading site (on tongue or groove), affecting the banding joint strength between particleboard and solid wood were presented in this study. The experimental results can be summarized as follows: 1. If the particleboard was used as tongue and solid wood as groove, their banding joint strengths were better than those of using particleboard as groove. 2. In this study, no significant difference of the joint strengths were found with tongue thickness ratio of 1:3 and 1:2 at the 95% confidence level. And tongue length 8 mm and 10 mm showed no significant difference, either. But, tongue length 8 mm and 6 mm showed significant difference at the same confidence level. Therefore, based on the findings in this study it appeared that tongue length 8 mm was critical for economic consideration on any furniture making production line. 3. When the value of tongue and groove fitness was -0.3 mm and glue spreading on the tongue of particleboard, their joint strengths were better than those of glue spreading in groove of solid wood. 4. Among all the glues used in this study, HMA adhesive was an outstanding one for gluing particleboard and solid wood in banding processes and no matter what butt or tongue and groove joint was used. Therefore, using HMA and adapting butt joint to bond particleboard and solid wood in banding processes were recommended for economic consideration on any furniture making production lines.
