With the progression of technologies for automated delineating the watershed and stream network, geomorphologic and hydrologic factors of a watershed can be easily extracted from a digital elevation model (DEM). The DEM derived from aerial photos taken at the Chiufenershan area, where two major landslide-induced lakes formed after the hit of Chichi catastrophic earthquake in 1999, coupled with the analysis of average annual precipitation and ground cover condition are used for automated delineating the watershed of interest and extracting the related information of the watershed. The module developed in this study can be effectively used for watershed planning and evaluation.
