From the beginning of 2005, The Executive Yuan Gazette has made its dramatic development by integrating 19 other gazettes individually published by administrative branches and shifted its weekly operation to a daily process, which involves simultaneous publication in paper printouts and electronic copies at 16:00 everyday. For facilitating the policy of ”freedom of information”, guidelines indicated the types of information shall be published are set up, as well as providing the service of website browsing. Moreover, The Executive Yuan Gazette is also in the position to act and function as a major mechanism for promoting ”transparent government”, in terms of the right to be informed and the realization of a civil society. For introducing Executive Yuan Gazette to the users and general public, the following paragraphs will be coming across the historical development; orientation and extinguish of this newly reformed system (including the operation and performance during its first quarter), towards the prospect and evolving in the upcoming future.
