Dependence of the Excitation Temperature of a Capillary Discharge Plasma on the Capillary. Radius

Presents the results of the temperature measurement inside the plasma column of a capillary discharge used for a spectroscopic light source. The plasma reached a local thermodynamic equalibrium within a microsecond. An empirical relation between the temperature and the capillary radius is given.
