The hysteresis loops, susceptibility, and pyroelectric coefficient of a ferroelectric or ferroelectric bilayer system consisting of two monolayers (A and B) with different spins (S(subscript A)=σ=1/2 and S(subscript B)=S=3/2) in the presence of the crystal field in the monolayer B have been studied. Within an unusual mean-field theory based on the probability distribution technique that accounts for the self spin correlation functions, we discuss the effects of the external longitudinal electric field on the polarization, susceptibility, and pyroelectric coefficient of the cubic lattice. We show that by a choice of the temperature the hysteresis loops can be varied over a very wide range.
