造林木乾燥性質之研究

Studies on the Drying Characteristics of Plantation-grown Trees

摘要


本研究旨在以小試體急速乾燥的方法,就省產造林木之乾燥性質進行評估,作為加工利用之參考。供試樹種為15-20年生之柳杉與6、11、15及21年生四個齡級之台灣杉。試體規格為2×10×20cm之平鋸板。各組試體置於100-105℃具有強制循環之電烘箱中急速乾燥後,再就各試體初期端、面裂,內部乾裂與橫斷面變形3項乾燥缺點之發生程度進行評估。結果顯示:柳杉與台灣杉均屬易於乾燥的樹種,其2.5cm厚之板材可以初期溫度55℃,初期濕球差度3℃,及末期溫度80℃之窯乾條件進行乾燥。唯以各該造林木之弦、徑向收縮比均在2.5以上,故易發生瓦形翹曲,窯乾詩應配合重壓處理。

The drying characteristics of plantation-grown Cryptomeria japonica and Taiwania cryptomerioides have been examined by accelerated drying method. Flat-sawn spccimens, 2cm in thickness, 10cm in width, and 20cm in length were studied. The drying temperature was 100~105℃. The results of this study indicate that both Cryptomeria and Taiwania are easy to dry species. The 2.5cm lumber can be dried under the following conditions: initial temperature -55℃, initial wet bulb depression -3℃, and final temperature -80℃. Owing to the shrinkage ratio of radial and tangential of Cryptomeria and Taiwania is 1 to 2.5 and up, the lumber are prone to cup during drying.
