The Experience of Building Automation System in MDN Children' s Library

摘要

圖書館是保存、維護並提供知識的大寶庫，在這個寶庫中，如何以最有效率的方式服務讀者，是圖書館責無旁貸的任務，圖書館的功能也在於此。國語日報社兒童圖書館雖是小型圖書館，服務對象也僅限於國小學童，然而，因為教育制度的變遷、教育方式多元化，目前社會正掀起推廣閱讀的風氣，因此，協助學童建立閱讀習慣，自然是我們應該具備的使命。為了提高對讀者的服務品質與工作效率，我們導入圖書館自動化系統，也希望利用資訊科技，讓圖書館在館藏的質與量上都能有所成長。本文內容旨在闡述圖書館自動化的建置過程，希望能提供甫創館或是須要建置自動化系統的圖書館作為參考。

Libraries can be seen as a treasure for keeping, saving and supporting knowledge. In this case, how to serve readers efficiently is a crucial work of libraries, which is one of the major functions of libraries. Nowadays, with the changing of the educational system, the atmosphere of reading is emerging in Taiwan society. Although MDN (Mandarin Daily News) Children's Library is a small library, we consider it our responsibility to help children establish their reading habits.This article focuses on the process of building an automation system. We build library automation system to improve our service quality, as well as working efficiency. We hope to make good use of information technology to promote the quality and number of the library materials. It is expected that this article may be helpful for new libraries or those that will build a library automation system in the 90 future.
