雷射耳穴治療脊髓損傷患者疼痛的立即效果

Immediate Effects of Laser-auriculotherapy on Pain Relief in Spinal Cord Injured Patients

摘要


本研究的主要目的在於探討雷射耳穴是否可以減輕脊髓損傷息者的疼痛。針對六位男性脊髓損傷息者,進行耳穴雷射(Multimed SML)。分別為左、右耳,依各耳朵不同部位(腦區、脊髓區和合併治療)照射。每個穴位接受照射6分鐘,強度為50毫瓦特,每次照射相隔一至二天。雷射前後的評估,包括(l)疼痛問卷,(2)「視覺類比等級」評分疼痛;(3)心跳測量;(4)血氧飽合度測量。結果顯示:(l)雷射耳穴明顯減輕脊髓損傷患者的疼痛(例如:麻痛、灼燒痛);(2)左右耳的療效,並無顯著差異;(3)不同穴位(腦區、脊髓區和合併治療)的療效,也沒有顯著差異。未來則應進一步探討雷射耳穴對疼痛閾值(pain threshold)的影響。

The major purpose of this study was to investigate whether the laser-auriculotherapy can decrease the pain in spinal cord injured patients. Total of six spinal cord injured patients received laser-auriculotherapy with the irradiation over different acupuncture points (brain, spinal cord, or both) in right and left ears. The duration for laser irradiation (Multimed, SML) was six minutes and the output power was 50mW. Each irradiation was separated by one to two days. The evaluations before and after laser-auriculotherapy included: (1) pain questionnaire; (2) visual analogue scale (VAS); (3) heart rate; (4) oxygen saturation. The results indicated: (1) laser auriculotherapy could decrease the pain (numbness, burning) in spinal cord injured patients significantly; (2) no significant difference was found between right and left ear treatments; (3) no significant difference was found between different acupuncture points (brain, spinal cord, or both) in the ear. Further research is needed for pain threshold measurement.
