自動撒水設備對機車火災防護效果之實驗研究

Experimental Studies on Fire Suppression Effectiveness of Sprinkler in Motorcycle Fires

摘要


停放於建築物周遭的機車火災往往波及建築物造成重大傷亡損失,本研究以全尺寸燃燒實驗針對有無設置自動撒水設備對機車火災的影響進行探討。利用熱釋放率及平均火焰高度的量測,及火焰高度與熱釋放率的關係分析,並透過機車火災成長及機車間延燒行為觀察,結果發現本實驗之自動撒水設備能夠有效抑制機車火災的成長及延燒;1輛機車燃燒於火盛期的熱釋放率可達1MW,而自動撒水設備可將其控制到0.03MW以下,3輛以上機車燃燒於火盛期的熱釋放率可達4MW以上,而自動撒水設備可在進入火盛期前作動而可將其控制到0.3MW以下。

Fire spread from motorcycles to the neighboring buildings always results in fatal deaths, injuries and losses. This study conducted full-scale burning experiments to access the behavior of motorcycle fires under the conditions with and without the automatic sprinkler equipment. It was observed that the spread and growth of motorcycle fires were effectively suppressed with the sprinkler activated by measuring the heat release rates and the average flame heights. The activation of the automatic sprinkler system can reduce the heat release rate in fully developed period from 1MW to 0.03MW for single motorcycle fire, and 4MW to 0.3MW for multiple motorcycles fire.
