Lipoblastomas are rare benign tumors found in young children, and intrathoracic lipoblastomas are even more rare; only five cases have been reported in English literature. Prominent fatty components and other portions of soft tissues may be revealed by computed tomography. Lipoblastomas should be included in the differential diagnosis if intrathoracic tumors with those characteristic findings are revealed by computed tomography in children under three years of age.
