助聽器方向性麥克風和多頻道噪音抑制系統結合於噪音下語音聽辨之效用

Efficacy of Combining Directional Microphone and Multi-channel Noise Reduction Algorithms for the Speech Reception in Noise

摘要


背景:聽損者在噪音下常有語音聽辨的問題,近來隨助聽器選配技術進步,可應用不同臨床策略與電路系統,提升噪音環境下之訊噪比,藉此提高助聽器佩戴者在噪音下的語音聽辨效益。本研究探討使用方向性麥克風和多頻道噪音抑制系統,在噪音環境下對於語音聽辨之效用。方法:受測者共15名(男性7名,女性8名),年齡從26至80歲,具中度至中重度感音神經性聽損,均為助聽器佩戴者。受測者在4種模式下接受台灣漢語噪音下語音聽辨測試:(1)全方位麥克風(2)多頻道噪音抑制(3)方向性麥克風(4)方向性麥克風+多頻道噪音抑制。最後比較各個模式測試結果,是否達統計上顯著差異。結果:顯示(1)模式1平均訊噪比為0.80 dB(2)模式2為-0.65 dB(3)模式3為-3.35 dB(4)模式4為-4.30 dB。這4種模式之平均訊噪比均主統計上顯著性差異。在相同實驗設計下,對噪音下語音聽辨的效用,最佳模式為方向性麥克風結合多頻道抑制系統,再者依序為方向性麥克風模式、多頻道噪音抑制和全方位方向性麥克風模式。結論:本研究反應實驗設計下,同時使用方向性麥克風及多頻道噪音抑制可達到比分別使用更佳的噪音下語音聽辨表現。

BACKGROUND: Patients with hearing loss often have the problem of speech reception in the noisy situation. In recent years, advances in hearing aid technology and the application of different clinical strategies and electrical systems enhanced the signal to noise ratio in the noisy environment. This study explored efficacy of directional microphone and multi-channel noise reduction algorithms for the speech reception by the hearing in noise test.METHODS: Methods: The participants consisted of 15 adults (M: 7; F: 8) aged from 26 to 80. They all have moderate to moderate-severe sensorineural hearing loss with experience of hearing aid usage. Taiwan Mandarin hearing in noise test was administered to all subjects in four hearing aid modes: (1) omni-directional microphone (2) multi-channel noise reduction (3) directional microphone (4) directional microphone+ multi-channel noise reduction.RESULTS: Results: The average of SNRs was 0.8 dB in mode 1 (2) -0.65 dB in mode 2 (3) -3.35 dB in mode 3 (4) -4.30 dB in mode 4. The datum of four modes all reached to significant difference statistically. Under the same experimental design, directional microphone + multi-channel noise reduction was the best mode for the effectiveness of speech perception in noise test. Furthermore, the efficacy of directional microphone mode is better than multi-channel noise reduction mode and omnidirectional microphone mode.CONCLUSIONS: Conclusions: Combining use of the directional microphone and digital noise cancellation can improve the hearing in noise performance compared to using these two technologies alone.
