摘要

本研究之目的，係初步探討準爸爸於生產過程中之行為反應及護理需求。研究方法為參與觀察(participate observation)及深度訪談法(in-depth interview)。收集資料前研究者以產婦主護理師之身份照顧其整個產程，產後則利用產婦在恢復室觀察及休息時，徵得準爸爸的同意，使用錄音機進行訪談，一共收集三位初產婦、三位經產准爸爸的資料。然後將訪談內容寫成敘述體之行為過程記錄，再將行為的過程的內容加以歸納、分析。
研究結果顯示：準爸爸在生產過程中之行為反應，包括：準備待產期－矛盾感、待產期－無助感、分娩期－解脫感，而準爸爸對進人產房則有冀圖參與分娩過程兩種不同反應。於生產過程中之護理需求，則包括接受其行為反應、提供明确的訊息、安排舒適適的環境及護理人員適時的指導。
經由準爸爸的經驗可以發現，護理人員瞭解準爸爸於生產過程之行為反應，是一件很重要的事，如此不僅可以協助準爸爸參與產程，同時也可做為改進護理內容之參考。

The purpose of this study was to preliminarily explore the behavioral response and caring needs of the expectant fathers who were involved with labor and delivery. The methods were participation, observation, and indepth interview. Before collecting the data, researchers acted as the primary nurse to take care of the mothers through the whole labor and delivery process. When mothers were reposing and observed in the recovery room, the expectant fathers were interviewed with tape recorder with their permission. This study collected data of three primipara and three multiparas expectant fathers. The researchers revealed the interviewed content as a narrative process recording. By means of content analysis, the verbal behavior of subjects was systematically analysed and categorized.
The results revealed that the behavioral response in the labor and delivery process of the expectant father includes: pre-laboring stage=sense of ambivalence; laboring stage=sense of helplessness; delivery stage=sense of relief. The study showed the responses of expectant fathers getting into the delivery room have both positive and negative reactions. The caring needs of expectant fathers in labor and delivery process includes their behavioral response being accepted, providing clear and definite information, arranging comfortable surroundings and pertinent instructions by nurses.
By expectant father’s experiences, it is important for nurses to understand their behavioral responses in the labor and delivery process. Therefore, not only can we help the expectant fathers to participate in the labor and delivery process, but also this understanding can help nurses in their actual care of the couple.
