摘要

傳統的「科學」研究方法是否全然適用或不適於護理專業？護理研究中質、量性的兩極爭議並非是對立的，而是各有其特長和侷限，具有互補和相互對照的功能。本文旨在討論兩大護理研究法之分歧，並介紹一種整合性的多元途徑一方法上的三角交叉檢視法。當單一的研究法不足以完全解答一個研究問題時，三角交叉檢視法乃是最能確定的一種解決法。研究者應敏說而具有變通性，瞭解研究方法的多元性，謹慎地探作，正所謂「運用之妙，存乎一心」。

Is the use of truly scientific method confined only to natural science? Is it the only method appropriate for the nursing profession? In nursing research, the qualitative-quantitative bipolar views should not be against each other because they have complimentary and contrasting functions. This paper presents an overview of the dichotomy of these two methods, and proposes a multi-method: methodological triangulation. When a single research method is inadequate, methodological triangulation lation is used to ensure that the most comprehensive approach is taken to solve a research problem. Researchers are versatile and have an extraordinary power to use the strengths of the two methods with skill.
