Salmonella Costochondritis of Ribs-Two Cases Report
沙門氏菌造成之肋骨軟骨骨髓炎－個案報告
摘要
沙門氏菌導致的腸胃炎較為常見，相對於此菌所引起的肋骨軟骨骨髓炎則罕有，我們在此報告兩個病例，兩個病患表現症狀不盡相同，其中一人沒有發燒或腹泄等症狀，但均為T細胞免疫不全的患者，病人在給予適當的抗生素治療，以及徹底地清除蝕骨之後均痊癒，此外於追蹤的一年內未見復發，文中我們將詳盡地討論它的診斷、危險因子、治療、以及相關文獻。

Salmonella is one group of gram-negative bacilli and it causes gastroenteritis worldwide, however, salmonella costochondritis of rib is rare. The patients usually present with swelling and erythematous change of the affected area with or without pain. Two cases of salmonella costochondritis of ribs in cellular immunity insufficiency patients are described in the paper and one of them got chest wall abscess without previous period of diarrhea or fever. We performed adequate debridement to remove all the infected ribs and used appropriate antibiotics administration. The lesions resolved and there were no recurrence over more than two years follow-up. In this article, we review the related literatures and discuss proper treatment of this disease.
