The Powder Explosion at Formosa Fun Coast Water Park happening on June 27, 2015 was the most severe burn disaster in Taiwan. A total of 499 victims were immediately sent to the hospitals and 15 of them died within 6 months after the event. The current report aims to review the major acts and process over three years conducted collaboratively by the central and local governments, non-government and nonprofit organizations to save the victims' life, restore their health and community life. The strategy and implementation of the disaster management demonstrated in this event provided a valuable and successful example for the planning for burn disaster management through the acute response period, intermediate period and extended period. Based on humanistic concern, patient and family centered and community reintegration, a series of integrative and continued multidisciplinary combined services were provided including comprehensive assessment and needed interventions for medical care, social welfare and psychosocial issues.
