This paper examines the application of movies as an effective tool to teach social medicine. In the first section of the paper, the interdisciplinary subject – social medicine is defined. Then the application of cinema on medical education is reviewed. In the second section of the paper, an example of a course on social medicine which utilizes narrative movies is presented. A list of films suitable for social medicine curriculum is provided following the demonstration. Finally, the author invites more teachers and students to utilize cinema in the learning of different aspects of medicine. (Full text in Chinese)
