自台灣本土高梁、玉米、蘆筍等作物之根部,分離得13株具固氮酵素活性之固氮細菌Azospirillum spp.。根據形態及生理試驗鑑定,其中9株屬於Azospirillum brasilense,3株屬於Azospirillum lipoferum,結果與它們的蛋白質圖譜一致。而另外一株無法鑑定至種名,唯其蛋白質圖譜則屬於A. brasilense型。
Thirteen strains of Azospirillum spp. with nitrogenase activity were isolated from roots of sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L.), maize (Zea mays L.) and asparagus (Asparagus officinalis L.) in Taiwan. Based on morphological and physiological tests, 9 strains were identified as Azospirillum brasilense and 3 strains as Azospirillum lipoferum. The results were consistent with their protein profiles. The protein profile of one strain characterized belong A. brasilense type, but following morphological and physiological methods did not obtain a definite species assignment.
