「新臺灣之子」的教育需求與課程調適

The Study on the "New Taiwan Children" Educational Necessaries and Curriculum Adjustment Strategies

摘要


近年來,國內婚姻移民的現象日益普遍,使得一群新移民女性(或通稱「外籍新娘」)來臺的人數激增,其所生下的「新臺灣之子」,截至九十三年七月底的統計資料顯示,目前臺灣每一百個新生兒中就有十三個是「新臺灣之子」(其生母國籍為包含大陸、港澳及東南亞等外國籍),是以其衍生出的教育問題已到了不容忽視的地步。本研究目的旨在探討新臺灣之子的教育需求與課程調適策略;首先,探討新臺灣之子目前的現況處境;其次,在於瞭解新臺灣之子目前的教育需求問題;再次,詮釋「課程調適」的意涵,並探究其在面對學校課程的學習時,教師應如何安排適切的「課程調適」策略,運用適當的課程設計內容與實施以助其獲得良好的學習適應,解決其在語言學習、文化學習、課業學習、及人際學習等方面的問題,希冀能促使他們在課程改革中獲得發聲的機會與應有的尊重,並能有效地彰顯社會公平正義及教育機會均等的理想目的。

The purpose of this study is to explore the educational necessaries of the ”New Taiwan Children” and how schools and teachers use curriculum adjustment strategies for them. Through interviews, we can understand some problems in marriages and lives between the ”New Emigrant Women” (generally so called ”foreign brides”) and the ”New Taiwan Children”. Then, the author found out some problems and demands in education. The thirdly, according to the ”New Taiwan Children” learning conditions, the author analyzed the acceptation and its meaning of ”curriculum adjustment”. Finally, the author hoped schools and teachers to use some ”curriculum adjustment” strategies, inclusive of ”individualized curriculum design” or ”adapting curriculum design”, ”mini-course”, ”multicultural curriculum design”, ”cooperative learning” and so on.
