摘要

2009世界運動會是我國有史以來首度成功申辦的國際大型綜合型運動賽會，賽事為期11天，總計26種164項正式賽及5種22項邀請賽，共103國，逾5,000多名參賽人員齊聚高雄市共襄盛舉，規模盛況空前，籌辦結果大獲好評。賽會籌備與執行期間，精細分工的賽事組織、鉅細靡遺的進度控管表、橫向縱向聯繫的會議，以及廣納各界專業人才的組織編制，皆發揮強大的功能，致使賽會順利完成。運動賽會是新世紀運動文化發展的趨勢，成功的賽會將為整體國家、城市及人民帶來政治、經濟、社會及文化等多重效益，筆者深信經過此次成功經驗，將為我國帶來更多籌辦國際賽事的機會，並期盼透過此介紹，提供未來賽會參考，更希冀透過更多成功的賽會經驗，提昇國人運動參與的風氣，落實全民運動的實踐。

The World Games 2009 was the first international multi-sports event that Taiwan has ever bidden and successfully secured. This event staged over a period of 11 days involving 26 official and 5 invitational sport competitions. More than 5000 participants from 103 countries gathered in Kaohsiung to celebrate it. The scale was unprecedented and the overall outcomes received high remarks. During the period of the event, a carefully designed structure with different professional aspects and well-programmed schedules and meetings functioned effectively and brought all the practices into a great success. International sports events have gained more importance in sport culture of the new century. Successfully staged events can generate tremendous political, economical, social and cultural benefits for the people, city and the country. The author believes that this outstanding experience will lead Taiwan to more opportunities in hosting international events. Hopefully, this article will be referential for future games, and that information provided in this article is helpful in promoting regular exercise behavior of the citizens and the implementation of the sport-for-all policy.
