摘要

值兹臺灣資優教育進入第四十年之際，特以幾個典型個案的追蹤報導來說明臺灣英才的成長故事，見證英才光環下的努力和臺灣資優教育的成果。本文的英才個例包括鋼琴家陳必先、數學博士楊柏因、電腦博士單中杰，以及26年前三位全國科展金獎得主顏聖紘（生物學家）、胡正恆（生態學家）和羅中泉（神經學家）。

As gifted and talented education (GATE) in Taiwan is celebrating its 40th anniversary, we are concerned about the later career development of the gifted and talented students. In this article, several typical cases were followed up to illustrate their efforts and achievements. Their stories evidenced the success of GATE in Taiwan. The cases include Pi-Hsien Chen (pianist), Po-Yin Yang (mathematician), Chung-Chieh Shan (computer scientist), Sheng-Hung Yen (biologist), Cheng-Hung Hu (ecologist), and Chung-Chieh Lo (neuroscientist).
