Objective: "Work pressure" has a negative effect on mental health; however, traditional workplace stress management lacks initiative, interaction, privacy, and resource integration. This study integrated cloud-care technology and workplace stress management to provide an innovative workplace stress management service. Method: We began with a literature review to design a prototype, and then modified it according to in-depth interviews with experts and questionnaires about employee stress management. The model was then tested in two technology companies with a total of 209 employees in central Taiwan. Results: This model provides integrated services including mental and physical measurements, health databases, risk assessments, customized health management, medical referrals, cross-industry alliances, and health reports. The results showed that 31% of the subjects reported a drop in psychological pressure. Scores for satisfaction with the service reached 67.85 points and ranged from moderately satisfied to very satisfied; any dissatisfaction was due to the service time being too short. In addition, one company signed a contract to continue cooperation and the other increased its willingness to cooperate with us. The service was awarded the Ministry of Health's Welfare of Taiwan, "2013 Health Promotion Cloud Value-Added Application Excellence Award", indicating that it was well received by corporations and the government as well. Conclusion: "Workplace stress management" provides business opportunities as this service can promote employee health and improve the efficiency and competitiveness of enterprises.
