Isolation and Identification of Salmonella enterica Serotype Enteritidis from a Layer Breeder Farm

蛋種雞場來源之腸炎沙門氏菌分離及鑑定

摘要


二十年來歐、美等國發生腸炎沙門氏菌食物中毒事件,且成為食蛋中毒重要的病原,然而台灣並無相關的報告。2002年,本研究室於例行絨毛檢測中,分離出1株SE,經追朔至一蛋種雞場,該場種雞無臨床症狀但其出生的小雞則顯示一週內死亡率達2%。由該場的種雞及小雞又分離出相同的腸炎沙門氏菌,這些腸炎沙門氏菌對ampicillin, amoxicillin, kanamycin, colistin, polymyxin B, cephalexin, nitrofuratoin, ofloxcin, ciprofloxacin and sulfamethazole/trimethoprim 有感受性,此種污染蛋種雞場需加以控制或淘汰感染雞以保障下游蛋雞場及消費者的安全。

Salmonella enterica serotype Enteritidis (SE) has emerged to be the most important egg-borne poisoning pathogens in European countries and the United States of America for 20 years. However, no SE isolate was reported in Taiwan. In 2002, an SE strain was isolated from routine fluff test. The source of SE was traced to a layer breeder farm. The layers in that farm showed no abnormal clinical signs but their chicks showed a little higher mortality of 2% in the first week. Several other SEs were isolated from the hens and their hatching chicks. Those SE were susceptible to ampicillin, amoxicillin, kanamycin, colistin, polymyxin B, cephalexin, nitrofuratoin, ofloxcin, ciprofloxacin and sulfamethazole/trimethoprim. Such infected layer breeders should be controlled or destroyed for its downstream layer farms and consumers' safety.
