Localization of Neuron Somata Innervating the External Anal Sphincter Muscles Encircling Canine Anal Sac

犬肛門囊外環外肛括約肌的神經支配

本研究的目的是運用山葵過氧化氫酶(horseradish peroxidase, HRP)的逆向神經追蹤術定位環繞在犬肛門囊上外肛括約肌(external anal sphincter muscle, EAS)的神經支配。被HRP標示的神經細胞主要出現在同側第一到第三薦髓(S1-S3)的脊髓背根神經節中,在第二薦髓(S2)出現最多被HRP標示的神經細胞,然而也有少部分被HRP標示的神經細胞出現在對側S2及S3的脊髓背根神經節。HRP標示的神經細胞也出現在同側第六腰髓(L6)到第三薦髓(S3)的交感神經節中,在S1及S2交感神經節中出現最多被標示的神經細胞,同時有少部分被HRP標定的神經細胞出現在對側L6到S3節段的交感神經節。此外,在後腸繫膜神經節、右骨盆神經節、薦髓的側角(lateral horn)都出現少量被HRP標示的神經細胞。在S1及S2脊髓腹角的Onuf's神經核也出現被HRP標示的神經細胞。本研究首先指出圍繞犬肛門囊外肛括約肌的感覺、運動及自主神經細胞的位置。

Purpose of this study was to localize the neurons innervating the external anal sphincter muscles (EAS) encircling canine anal sac using the retrograde neuronal tracing technique with horseradish peroxidase (HRP). In the dorsal root ganglia (DRG), HRP-positive afferent neurons were found predominantly and ipsilaterally at Si to S3 levels, with the highest number at S2, while a few of them were found contralaterally at S2 and S3 levels. In the paravertebral sympathetic ganglia, HRP-positive neurons were presented mainly at ipsilateral L6 to S3 levels with the highest number at Si and S2; while a few HRP-positive neurons were presented contralaterally at L6 to S2 levels. In addition, certain number of HRP-positive neurons were found in the caudal mesenteric ganglia, right pelvic ganglia, and sacral intermediolateral nucleus. Furthermore, HRP-positive neurons might be observed in the Onuf's nucleus of the spinal ventral horn at Si and S2. This study is the first to reveal the origin of sensory, autonomic, and motor innervation of the EAS encircling the canine anal sac.
