摘要

機構住民有高比率的失眠困擾，輔助醫療可改善失眠，而穴位指壓是其中的方法之一，故本研究目的在探討穴位指壓對改善護理之家住民失眠的成效。研究設計採類實驗兩組前後測設計法，對象取自桃園及苗栗某兩家護理之家，有失眠困擾的住民。研究對象以隨機分配法分為實驗組及對照組，各25人。實驗組施予湧泉穴壓，對照組則輕摸湧泉穴位，並每週評估睡眠狀況。研究結果顯示實驗組比對照組的睡眠狀況改善，兩組達顯著差異，實驗組在穴壓前後，睡眠品質改善，達統計差異；而對照組則無改善。結果可提供護理人員使用穴壓方式照顧有失眠的機構住民。

Institutional residents have a high ratio of suffering insomnia distress. The acupressure is one of those complementary therapies which could improve their insomnia. Therefore, the purpose of this study as to explore the effects of the acupressure for improving the insomnia of the nursing home residents. This was a quasi-experimental design which used t o groups of pre- and post-tests. The subjects were recruited from two nursing homes where the residents had insomnia in Taoyan and Miaoli. respectively. The subjects were divided into an experimental group and a controlled group by random assignment. Each group consisted of 25 persons. The experimental group was applied with acupressure on the acupoint of Yungchuan, whereas the controlled group was applied with light tough on the same acupoint. We assessed the sleep status every w eek. The results showed that the experimental group had better improvement on sleep status than the controlled group did. There was significant difference between these two groups. The experimental group had improvement which achieved the statistical difference on the sleep quality, whereas the controlled group did not. These results could provide methods of using acupressure to the nurses for caring institutional residents with insomnia.
