摘要

水稻為我國最重要的糧食作物，其譜系資料對於後續的育種改良及遺傳研究都有高度的重要性。在本研究中，我們將過去前台灣省農林廳稻作育種小組主持的水稻育種計畫中，所選育之品種或品系的譜系資料，轉換為可透過網際網路及瀏覽器查詢的資料庫形式，以提高該等優良品種（系）在未來育種計畫中的利用性，並建立品種（系）間計算親緣係數的功能，做為雜交親本選擇的參考。

Rice (Oryza sativa L.) is the most important food crop in Taiwan, and its pedigree data is invaluable for further crop improvement and genetic studies. Here we described the development of a pedigree database, searchable through Internet and the use of a web browser, containing pedigree records on varieties and half of the breeding lines developed between 1981 and 1997. Functionality of calculating Coefficient of Coancestry was also provided to facilitating selecting parents in a breeding program.
