Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate people's recognition tendency and the concerned factors in hospice care. Method: Convenience sampling was employed to collect 480 questionnaire samples that were randomly picked up from outpatients at one of the regional teaching hospitals as well as people at Tainan train station. Results: As a result of the questionnaire, five characteristic groups, including gender in female, the age under 30, vocation in student, above college level of education, and family members in 3 to 4, presented highly recognition tendency in hospice care. The concerned factors for choosing hospice care are significantly depending on room routes within the hospital, interior design, the equipments, the quantity and quality of staffs, and the attitude of services. Conclusion: in consequence of this study can be provided for relating institutes that are developing or promoting their projects of hospice care.
