CangGuiTanXue is a common clinical acupuncture technique. There are three techniques involved in its manipulation. The core manipulation is ”one needle with multiple directions” that is divided into vertical insertion, oblique insertion and horizontal insertion. Analyzing the meaning, technique and function of the word ”Ti” (picking) in the original article can enrich acupuncture theory and clinical practice.
