The ”Bangziqiang” of Taiwan's Luan-tan-xi is a tune with simple melody, which draws different opinions about its features. By organizing its manuscripts from folk people, there are approximately over twenty pieces of ”Bangziqiang” with various kinds of application: some consist of ”Bangziqiang”, entirely; some are joined with ballad singing and clapper opera. Regarding the music characteristics of ”Bangziqiang”, it is sung repeatedly based on a couplet (a pair of sentences) without the variation of clapper styles; it also has the same characteristic as the clapper opera which has the variation of clapper styles that ”male tune” and ”female tune” are differentiated according to the roles in the play. In addition, compared with the other types of opera or manuscript, we discover that the tune of ”Bangziqiang” is the same as the manuscript of Red Plum Mountain ”Shanxi” in Qing Dynasty. Red Plum Mountain was a manuscript of Shanxi Chuiqiang during the period of Emperor QianLong in Qing Dynasty; therefore ”Bangziqiang” of Taiwan Luan-tan-xi can be traced to the Shanxi Chuiqiang in Qing dynasty.
