一位愛德華氏症新生兒及其父母之加護護理經驗
Nursing Experience for A Newborn with Edwards Syndrome and His Parents in An Intensive Care Unit

The purpose of this article was to describe a nursing experience for a newborn with Edwards syndrome and his parents in an intensive care unit. Data were collected by observations, physical assessment, and parental interviews from July 16 to October 29, 2012. Holistic assessment was used to analyze the information. The main issues identified included impaired gas exchange, acute pain, and grieving. By using developmental care and containment, the author improved the baby' health problems of impaired gas exchange and pain. By leading the parents to express feelings and release emotions, the author accompanied the parents go through grieving. We hope this nursing experience can cause the attention for newborn with congenital malformations and his parents, and fulfill developmental care in clinical nursing care.
