"Strange History" and the Historical Facts: "Strange History" Reflects the History of the Ghost During the Wars after Ming Dynasty Fall

In Pu Songling's ”Strange history”, there are many works of that era narrative of historical events that occurred. It is the era of the arrival of Manchu ethnic people fighting on behalf during the transition between the Ming and Qing period. It was a great social upheaval of the Shandong province and bring the suffering of innocent people. The integration of the historical events of folk beliefs, write a series of ghost stories reflecting this bloody history. It witnessed the upheaval of the war era to the people and this special period of the Ming Dynasty officials and gentry behavior. Paper pointed out that with the civil war ghost beliefs reflect history; this is the ”Strange history” conception described by Pu Songling. Such work is not only a breakthrough in mystery novels, but also valuable for local facts.
