When people make selection of their professions they would always show some continuity or path-dependency, or ”inertia”. Some professionals would devote their lifetime to certain career. As a result, this ”inertia” can to a large extent be reflected in the broad social economic activities, in the flows of goods and services. In this sense, a social economic system would naturally posses ”inertia” as its fundamental feature. More interesting, the inertia of a social economic system is absolutely similar to the ”inertia” of bodies in a natural system. Therefore, the Newton (second) Law that describes and explains the inertia of motions in a natural system also fit the inertia of a social economic system.
