在簡述平埔族的身分之後，我們首先將分析西拉雅族的集體認同。接著，我們要考察官方的認定作法。再來，我們指出當前政策爭議所在。最後，我們提出未來可能的走向。

After briefly introducing the status of the Plains Indigenous Peoples in Taiwan, we like to probe the collective identity of the Siraya People. Secondly, we would look into how official practices of Indigenous recognition have evolved after the War. Thirdly, we examine current policy controversies over official recognition of Indigenous Peoples. Finally, we would explore possible ways to solve the intractable issue.
