跌倒為一常見的老年症候群,容易導致失能、機構化甚至死亡,在步入高齡社會的台灣已成重要議題。對高齡族群的健康層面、家庭照護者的照護負擔、醫療體系的經濟支出都影響重大。本篇綜論整理國際間跌倒防治準則,包括2007年WHO高齡者跌倒預防報告書(WHO Global Report on Falls Prevention in Older Age)、英美老年醫學會2010年高齡者跌倒預防準則(Panel on prevention of falls in older persons, American geriatrics society and British geriatrics society)、2012年Cochrane 資料庫社區高齡族群預防跌倒綜合文獻分析(Interventions for preventing falls in older people living in the community)、2013年英國NICE準則(Clinical Guideline-Falls: assessment and prevention of falls in older people)、2015年臨床指引(Quality Standard-Falls in older people: assessment after a fall and preventing further falls)。針對重複跌倒之評估、介入與預防作一概括性整理,以供醫師先進參考比較。
Falls have become an issue of crucial importance in the rapidly aging society of Taiwan as they not only impact the health of the fallers but also aggravate the burden of the caregivers, and the financial pressure of the entire public health system. This article summarized the most recent guidelines for fall assessment and prevention including those prescribed in WHO Global Report on Falls Prevention in Older Age (2007), Panel on Prevention of Falls in Older Persons by American Geriatrics Society and British Geriatrics Society (2010), the Cochrane Review on Interventions for preventing falls in older people living in the community (2012), NICE Clinical Guideline - Falls: the assessment and prevention of falls in older people (2013), and NICE Quality Standard - Falls in older people: assessment after a fall and preventing further falls (2015).
