Establishing a Finite Element Model to Characterize the Mechanical Response of Badminton Racket

摘要


目的:本研究主要目的係建立一套有限元素分析方法,針對羽球拍穿線後的變形、靜壓響應及動態恢復係數等機械行為進行模擬。方法:利用有限元素分析來模擬羽球拍的機械行為,並透過球拍的靜態與動態實驗來驗證分析結果。結果:在球拍穿線後的變形之探討中,由於在有限元素模擬中,並未考慮實際球線張力退減情形,使得分析與實驗的結果之間約有15%誤差。此外,在球拍靜壓響應與恢復係數的探討中,有限元素分析與實驗的結果相當接近。結論:經由分析與實驗的結果比較,本研究建立的分析方法可用於模擬羽球拍之機械行為。

Purpose: This research aims to establish a finite element (FEM) model for characterizing the mechanical behaviors of badminton racket, including the string effect on the badminton frame deformation, the response of static indentation, and the dynamic coefficient of restitution. Methods: In order to validate the numerical results, static and dynamic experiments were conducted accordingly on the badminton racket. Results: Regarding the string effect on the flame deformation, the difference between the numerical results and experiment was up to 15%. The discrepancy can be attributed to the degradation of the string which was not accounted for in the simulation. As for the static indentation and the dynamic coefficient of restitution, both FEM results agreed well with experimental data. Conclusions: According to the results of this validation, the FEM model proposed in this study is able to characterize the mechanical behaviors of badminton racket with acceptable level of accuracy.
