In spite of the scientific interest towards paronymy this linguistic phenomenon is still not sufficiently investigated in all its aspects. The article presented to the reader's attention introduces English paronyms, providing their definition at the phonological and semantic levels of the language from the point of view of the so-called broad approach towards the phenomenon. However, the aim of the article is to overview the word building patterns and models of English paronyms at the morphological level of the language in general and the derivational word building patterns and models of Lexical English paronyms in particular.
