Cross-Straits library exchanges formally began in September 1990, and in recent years have witnessed growth from mere observational visits, to specialized conferences, lectures, internships, and cooperative writing of books and specialized journals. Amongst the library world's exchange activities, bibliographic cooperation is one of the more significant ones. This study explores conferences and agendas in bibliographic cooperation, to elucidate Cross-Straits bibliographic cooperation, as well as topics and developments in resource sharing, to critically consider progress in bibliographic cooperation and related issues while suggesting recommendations for future progress.
