摘要

小燕鷗（Sterna albifrons）是臺灣公告的二級珍貴稀有保育類動物，與東方環頸鴴（Charadrius alexandrinus）及高蹺鴴（Himantopus himantopus）同爲少臺灣海岸濕地、沙洲及河口繁殖的水鳥。我們於2013年2至6月，在布袋濕地公園記錄小燕鷗的巢100個、東方環頸鴴的巢47個。2014年2至6月，記錄東方環頸鴴64巢：此外，5月22日登上水中島調査，紀錄小燕鷗143巢，繁殖區內有81隻雛鳥，巢中還有152個鳥蛋，孵化成功率約58.5%（N=118）。東方環頸鴴主要繁殖期爲３至５月，產卵的最早日期爲2014年2月6日，巢位分散於濕地公園的裸露地。小燕鷗主要繁殖期爲4至6月，第2次繁殖約爲7月，巢位集中在濕地公園內的水中島。建議針對臺灣西南沿海的廢晒鹽田，進行棲地復育與營造，可增加生物多樣性，也可提升環境教育的功能。

The little tern (Sterna albifrons) is listed under the category of ＂Rare and Valuable Species＂ in the Schedule of Protected Species in Taiwan. Their main Taiwanese breeding habitats are at the Changhua and Penghu coastal wetlands. From February to June in 2013, we recorded 100 little tern nests and 47 Kentish plover (Charadrius alexandrinus) nests in the Budai Wetland Park. Over the same months in 2014, we recorded 64 Kentish plover nests. Moreover, on May 22, 2014, on the floating island of the Budai Wetland Park, we recorded 143 little tern nests, 152 eggs, and 81 chicks in the breeding habitat. The Kentish plover's main breeding season is from March to May, with the earliest recorded date of the year for breeding occurring on February 6, 2014. Their nests are typically dispersed along the bare ground of the wetland. The little tern's main breeding season is from April to June, with their nests being primarily situated on the floating island in Budai Wetland Park.
