This paper uses the concept of "the other" in postcolonial discourse, in addition to "point of view" and "perspective" in narratology as a theoretical framework to examine narrative strategies in writing aborigines within the adolescent fiction in Taiwan since 1980s. Three aspects in terms of 1) subject matter, 2) characters, and 3) point of view are discussed. The summary and conclusion are given in the final section.
