2014 年一場太陽花學運掀起社運直播的浪潮,而這股行動除了與網路科技以及手機硬體的進步息息相關,也受公民見證 (citizen witness)風潮之推波助瀾所影響。為了初探公民們如何建構與實踐社運直播,本研究整理攝錄行動主義(video activism)在台灣的發展脈絡,並取徑 Dahlgren(2009)公民文化(civic culture)所提出的六大參數作為指標,透過深度訪談,歸納出公民直播主所秉持的新聞意理、見證策略,以及對於自我角色之認定。而研究發現,社運直播確實能提升公民意識、 鼓勵民眾參與政治 ,但組織化的挑戰與身分定位的曖昧仍是直播主們需克服之難關。
The “Sunflower Students Movement” has raised the use of live broadcast in social movement since 2014. The campaign is closely related to the progress of network technology and mobile hardware; also affected by the wave of citizen witness. To investigate how citizen construct and practice in social live streaming, this article organizes the development of video activism in Taiwan, and uses Dahlgren’s (2009) six modes of civic culture as an index. Through a number of in-depth interviews with citizen broadcasters, the thesis combs out and concludes the professionalism, witness strategy, and self-identification held by those citizen broadcasters. The analyze shows that the live broadcasting in social movement could elevate people's civic awareness and political engagement; however, the challenges of establishing business-like organization and finding their position in the media field, still need to be overcome.
