Applying a dedicated public-private partnership (PPP) unit for promoting PPP Projects has been widely applied around the world, and the trend seem rapidly increasing since 2000. In Vietnam, some international donor such as World Bank, Asia Development Bank suggested the government to establish a PPP Unit to promote PPP Projects. Some local scholars also mention a dedicated PPP as a considerable solution to solve the issue. Whether a PPP Unit can promote PPP Projects in Vietnam or not is a topical and debatable question in Vietnam. However, there is no comprehensive research on the feasibility of a dedicated PPP Unit in Vietnam so far. In order to supply more information about the topic, this study explored experiences of PPP Unit application in some countries in the world, and current PPP Project management institution of Vietnam government and current status of PPP Projects to highlight potential advantages and considerable disadvantages of a PPP unit if applied in Vietnam. A questionnaire survey was distributed to experienced industry people, scholars and government officials in Vietnam. The analytical response results showed that respondents support the establishing a PPP Unit in Vietnam, agree with advantages and disadvantages has highlighted by the research. In which, Industry People are more likely to support a PPP Unit than Scholars, and Scholars support a PPP Unit as much as Scholars; Industry People agree that a PPP Unit is advantageous as much as Scholars, and Scholars agree that a PPP Unit is advantageous as much as Government officials; Industry People are more likely than Scholars to agree that a PPP Unit is disadvantageous, and Scholars agree that a PPP Unit is disadvantageous as much as Government Officials.
