Health related quality of life components have positive relationship with spouse’s employment status, spouse’s disease or disability, household income, daily Chinese speaking, and Chinese confidence (p < .05). Mental and social health needs significantly negatively related to all components of HRQOL (p < .01). Conclussion: Vietnamese women with higher level of social demographic status and Chinese proficiency have less health needs and better health related quality of life; women with less health needs have better health related quality of life.
