摘要


當企業業務量不斷成長,複雜程度不斷增加,提升生產力及降低生產成本對企業而言愈來愈重要,MES(Manufacturing Execution System)則是一套重視正在發生的生產線狀況,有助於企業解決眼前問題、改變目前現況,MES的導入會影響到整個生產流程、公司策略和營運相關事務,過去關於MES的研究多著重在技術層面,而比較少談論策略意涵,因此本論文著重於「競爭策略」與「MES導入」之關聯性探討,本研究擬深入探討兩者之關聯性及其對績效之影響。本研究採多重個案研究法,為求研究過程嚴謹及結果經得起考驗,資料收集來源分三個階段(回合),首先第一回合進行先期試訪,接著第二回合進行問卷調查,最後第三回合進行深入訪談,研究對象為北台灣(新竹以北)八家具代表性的企業,對企業探索競爭策略與MES導入之關聯性及其對績效之影響。研究結果顯示一旦公司競爭策略確定後,在採購MES時須考量達成該策略之模組功能,以免導入後發現不合用,在導入MES前也要先考慮將來如何整合,導入MES時若高階主管能全力支持,導入過程才會順利績效才會高,MES導入對企業管理透明化會有很大幫助。

While a business increases its sales volume, the organization's structure becomes more complicated. Enhancing productivity and reducing production costs turns into a key issue. Manufacturing Execution System (MES) is a solution to track the procedure of the production, assisting to unravel problems, and improve current condition. MES implementation will affect the whole production process, corporate strategy and operational related matters. In the past, MES studies were more concentrated on the technical aspect, and less on the essence of company strategy. This research focuses on exploring the relevancy between competitive strategy and MES implementation and their impacts on company's performances. This research adopted multiple case methodologies. In order to establish a rigorous study and sustainable result, the data collection process is divided into three phases (rounds). First round is to conduct a pilot study, followed by conducting questionnaires, and finally having in-depth interviews. The case studies included eight enterprises in Northern Taiwan (north of Hsinchu) to explore the relationship between the competitive strategy and the MES implementation and its impact on performances. Results show that after a firm determines its competitive strategy and decides to adopt a MES system, the requirements of MES system should achieve the strategy's module functions to prevent unsuitable operations after purchasing. Before implementing the MES, the company must consider the integration with different systems and processes in the future. Furthermore, if the MES implementation can get the supports from the executives in the company, it can reach the highest quality performance. The biggest boost of MES implementation is the management of enterprises to become more transparent.
