大學生多元智能與統合心智關係之研究

A Study of the Relationship between Multiple Intelligences and Synthesizing Mind for College Students

摘要


本研究旨在瞭解大學生多元智能與統合心智的現況,並分析具有不同跨藝術領域學習經驗的大學生在多元智能與統合心智上的差異情形,最後探討多元智能與統合心智之關係。 本研究採問卷調查法,依據研究者於此研究領域發展之「大學生多元智能與統合心智概況調查問卷」結果作為分析資料。研究樣本取自兩所國立頂尖大學八個科系共481位學生,以性別、學校、科系、跨藝術相關領域學習經驗為影響因素,使用統計分析方法處理問卷資料分析,將調查所得資料分別以描述敘述統計、因素分析、信度分析、獨立樣本t驗定、單因子變異數分析、Pearson積差相關與多元逐步回歸分析等統計方法進行研究結果的分析與討論。 研究結論如下: 一、大學生的多元智能與統合心智情形均屬於中高程度。 二、男大學生在邏輯數學智能、整體統合心智及其目標方向與核心起點向度的表現顯著高於女大學生,女大學生在空間智能表現顯著高於男大學生。 三、藝術院校學生在多元智能與統合心智的表現高於一般大學學生。 四、各科系大學生的優弱勢智能具有顯著差異。 五、不同科系大學生在多元智能與統合心智表現上具有顯著差異,其中以舞蹈系學生表現居高。 六、大學生具有跨藝術相關領域學習經驗在多元智能與統合心智的表現較高。 七、整體而言,多元智能與統合心智有顯著的正向影響關係。 八、多元智能對於統合心智具有預測力。

This study aims to investigate and refine our understanding of the relationship between Gardner’s multiple intelligences and the synthesizing mind through an analysis of the differences among Taiwanese college students’ cross-disciplinary learning experience in arts. This study is based upon research data obtained from the results of the "Multiple Intelligences and Synthesizing Mind for College Students Overview Questionnaire" developed by the researcher based on relevant work in the field. Questionnaire data was received from 481 college students matriculated in eight different departmental programs housed at two of the nation’s leading institutions of higher education. The factors taken into account by the study consist of gender, university, department, and cross-art learning experience. Statistical analysis methods were used to process questionnaire data and applied to research data include descriptive statistics, factor analysis, reliability analysis, independent sample t-test, one-way ANOVA(analysis of variance), Pearson-Moment correlation, and multiple regression analysis. The findings of this study are as follows: 1.The current status of college students with regard to multiple intelligences and synthesizing mind belongs to the “medium” level. 2.Both the starting point and goal point achievements of male college students with regard to logic-mathematical intelligence and overall synthesizing mind are significantly higher than female college students; spatial intelligence score of female college students significantly surpassed the level of male college students. 3.The achievement-level of arts university students with regard to multiple intelligences and synthesizing mind are significantly higher than those of students enrolled in a general university. 4.College students from different departments exhibit significant differences with regard to superior and weak intelligences. 5.Among college students from different departments, significant differences are obtained in the achievement of multiple intelligences and synthesizing mind, with the students from the dance department excelling above all the others. 6.College students who have cross-disciplinary learning experience in arts achieve better on multiple intelligences and synthesizing mind. 7.In general, there is a significant positive correlation between multiple intelligences and synthesizing mind. 8.Multiple intelligences was able to serve as a predictive indicator for synthesizing mind aptitude.
