在關係中學習---台灣社區劇場工作者經驗探究

Learning in Relationship: Experiences of Community Theatre Practitioners in Taiwan

摘要


大體而言,社區劇場是「經由」(by)社區、「和」(with)社區以及「為」(for)社區製作的劇場,能使社區共同分享經驗並重述他們的歷史,也鼓勵人們參與政治辯論,使陷於邊緣與非主流的人感覺到他們是社會的一份子。鑑於台灣社區劇場工作者之社區互動經驗及其藝術教育性質尚有探究的空間,本研究從藝術家與社區之間的關係切入,探究社區劇場工作者與社區之間的關係如何運作,工作者又如何在其中反思、學習。研究者主要採用敘事研究法,深度訪談八位台灣社區劇場工作者,分析各工作者之寶貴經驗,歸納工作者與社區之互動型態、工作者所受之社區回饋以及工作者在關係中的角色等三方面;並將社區劇場工作者視為關係中的學習者,分析其反思內涵及學習取徑,詮釋台灣社區劇場另一層面的藝術教育價值。

In general, community theatre refers to theatre made by, with, and/or for a community, enabling community members to share experiences and retell their own histories collectively, so as to encourage participation in political debates and embrace those who felt marginalized. Seeing that not merely the interaction between theatre practitioners and communities but also the significance of art education it may entail are yet to be explored, this study intends to investigate how the relationship works between theatre practitioners and communities, along with how the practitioners reflect and learn in process. The researcher adopts narrative inquiry method in the main, having in–depth interviews with eight community theatre practitioners in Taiwan. The study discusses the practitioners’ valuable experiences in three dimensions, namely, what interaction modes the practitioners took, what feedback the practitioners perceived from the communities, and what roles they considered themselves in the relationship. Further, through reviewing the practitioners’ reflections and the ways of learning, this study argues for community theatre practitioners as learners in the interaction. As a whole, the study aims to highlight the value of art education achieved by community theatre in Taiwan, suggesting a perspective alternative to art criticism or social empowerment.
