本研究旨在探討高齡志工持續參與老人居家服務的歷程,以及遭遇的困難,研究者以立意取樣,運用質性研究深度訪談法,訪談華山基金會7位高齡志工。研究發現如下: 一、高齡志工參與居家服務的契機 嘗試找尋生活的多樣性、希望幫助弱勢的善念、重要友人邀約、服務機構氣氛吸引、投入服務便利性的影響…等因素,讓高齡志工選擇居家志願服務。 二、高齡志工持續參與居家志願服務的原因 包括:維繫社交關係、增加幸福感與肯定自我價值、服務對象的回饋、服務自由度高,尤其對家庭關係與親子教育的省思,更是不同於以往的研究。 三、阻礙高齡志工持續參與服務的原因 包括機構、特殊需求個案、案家屬,以及高齡志工自身因素等困難,會阻礙高齡志工持續提供服務。 四、面對挫折與困境 高齡志工遇到服務面的問題,多會以樂觀的正向思考、肯定自我服務的價值,找尋實際解決的方法,如求助可解決問題者、調整服務方式、參加培訓課程增進知能,增加自己持續服務的動能。 五、可能結束服務的原因 高齡志工退出服務的原因有身體健康考量、機構因素、家人態度等。 研究者根據研究結果,提出對政府及民間部門等相關建議。
This research is focused on the experiences and the difficulties for aged volunteers who are continuingly participating in the home-service for elders. The researcher uses the purposive sampling and qualitative research in-depth interview methods to interview seven aged volunteers for Huashan Social Welfare Foundation. The findings are as followed: 1. The chances to join the home-service for the aged volunteers. The chances to try to look for the diversities in lives, hope to help the weakness, be invited by important persons, and be affected by the atmosphere and the convenience. All pushes the aged volunteers to join the services. 2. The reasons of continuingly participate the home-service for aged volunteers. The reasons include, maintaining the social relationships, increasing the happiness and self-values, the feedbacks, the highly freedoms, and the re-thoughts of family relationships and educations. The findings of family relationships and educations are different from the previous studies. 3. The reasons of hindering. The organizations, the special demand case, the case’s family, and private reasons from aged volunteers, will all hinder the continuous services. 4. The frustrations and difficulties The aged volunteers mostly have the optimistic attitude to face the problems, approve the values of services, and look for the realistic methods, such as turning to problem solvers, adjusting the services approaches, attending the training classes to improve the knowledge and skill, in order to elevate the motives of the continuous services. 5. The reasons of quitting. The aged volunteers may leave the services due to health situations, organizations issues, the family attitudes and so on. The researcher would bring up some suggestions from this study to the governments and private sectors.
