本研究主要是介紹智慧電網(Smart Grid)在全球各主要區域之發展趨勢,包括智慧電錶(Smart Meter)的佈建情況;並進一步探討個案公司如何在印度智慧電錶晶片市場研擬競爭策略與把握機會取得商機。 近年來隨著能源價格上漲及能源需求上升,高價格能源已是既定的事實;加上 2011年的311日本大地震,引發全球對核能使用和節能科技的特別關注,各國也持續推出促進智慧電網發展的相關政策。其中因為智慧電錶汰舊換新潮而快速成長的亞太市場也格外引人注目。在亞太市場中,印度是除了中國大陸以外,另一個快速崛起的新興市場,潛在商機極大。故本篇論文針對印度電錶市場的特性進行分析,並以旺玖科技為例,透過深度訪談及五力分析得出進入印度智慧電錶晶片市場的關鍵因素,以做為經營者的佈局參考,並可為台灣其它相關企業進入印度智慧電錶市場的重要參考。
In this thesis, we introduce the smart grid development status and smart meter technology trends and deployment status in the global market. And we further explore that Taiwan's IC design house in India will have opportunities to obtain business in smart meter market. As many countries continue to promote the development of smart grid related policies and beginning to invest in Advanced Metering Infrastructure, the importance of the Asia-Pacific market is increasingly gaining ground. In the Asia-Pacific market, India is another rapidly emerging market in addition to China. In this thesis, we take Prolific Technology as a case study. Through literature analysis, in-depth interviews, and five forces analysis, we present Indian market characteristic and conclude with competitive strategies for entering the smart meters industry. The strategy can be referred by other Taiwan's IC design houses when they are entering the India smart meters industry.
