娃娃的窩—台灣北區都會不同家庭結構下 兒童生活空間問題之現況研究

摘要


兒童是國家未來的主人翁,近年我國兒童的生活逐步受到重視,栽培優質的兒童是許多父母的希望,坊間相關的非正式兒童教育機構更是如雨後春筍般的相繼興起,時下如兒童才藝班、美語班、雙語托嬰等等五花八門的機構皆是看準父母望子成龍、望女成鳳的心理。正因為了讓孩子贏在起跑點,心急的父母在為兒女做未來舖陳的時候,眼光放得太遠重視孩子成就栽培而忽略眼前兒童的生活環境問題。尤其是家庭起居空間是否適合兒童成長生活便牽引出「家」的設計多以成人為主角之問題,即家裡的家具尺度、空間大小、使用建材,皆以成人的需求標準而構建成「家」的室內佈置。時聞許多家庭因忽略幼童的實質需求與室內佈置,而造成許多令人遺憾的兒童意外事故。 基於上述問題,促使研究者尋求解答之動機。為此,本研究之方法為收集相關幼教與兒童空間之理論與文獻,初步建立與兒童身心發展相關的空間安全性及尺度檢測目錄,作為探討四種都會家庭結構形態之兒童空間的觀察。其範圍以北區典型都會型公寓式住宅的家庭為主要研究對象,採樣核心家庭、主幹家庭、祖孫兩代、其他家庭,四種家庭結構共十戶進行深入訪談觀察與紀錄,經整理分析成為本研究檢視兒童的居家空間之安全性及人格成長發展性可能受到之影響,企望發現目前一般公寓式兒童居住環境中的現況普遍問題。最後,本研究嘗試整理以上四種類型家庭幼兒居家空間環境與兒童教育理論契合程度指數之元素做為研究結論,亦可對一般都會家庭提供改變空間或佈置之參考,以提升兒童健全的發展。

As children remain the future leader of a nation, the notion today in Taiwan not only prompted a gradually increasing emphasis on how children live but also a society gravitating towards a quality-oriented approach in children's upbringing and education. In this day and age, culminating outstanding children remains a preoccupation of all parents, while a host of child related informal children education institutions have also mushroomed, such as the children's talent school, English school, dual-language daycare, where a host of dizzying organizations have been set up feeding on the parent's mentality of wanting nothing but the very best for their child. Yet as the overzealous parents are rushing to map out a future blueprint for their beloved child with a competitive head start, their grandiose vision that is set too high might have prevented them from addressing the pressing issue of a child's living conditions, in that whether a family's living space is really suitable for a young child. It also brought up the issue how most of the homes that are designed catering to adults, meaning whether the dimensions of home furnishings, space layout, building materials adopted which are largely designed from the perspective and needs of adults, might have eluded a majority of the adults to overlook the practical needs of young children and a proper interior layout only to lead to many regrettable accidental child incidents. In light of the foresaid concern that has motivated the author to want to seek solution, hence the study method lies in gathering theories and literature studies on related toddler education and children's living space to set up a preliminary check list concerning the safety and dimensional criteria in spaces that children can develop physically and psychologically, which can be applied as reference materials in observatting children's living space rated to the four types of urban family structure modes. The scope of study has been focusing on typical apartment-dwelling family in the northern area of Taiwan as the main study subjects, from which ten samples of the nuclear family, stem family, two-generation-grandparent/grandchild family and other types of family are drawn to undergo interviews, observation and documentation. The data, upon sorted and analyzed, would become the material that the study examine the safety of children's living space and this is likely to impact the children's personality and growth development, which could in turn be used to explore some of the common problems that come to mar children's living environment in common apartment dwellings. Lastly, the result of study attempts to compile the checked qualities of children's living space elements of the four family samples that would to bind young children's home living environment in common apartment dwellings to children's education theories that can be used as references in devising spatial or layout changes that would poise to excel children's healthy development.
